About Memory Reduct
Memory Reduct is where I keep the diy ideas actually worth trying — the ones that survive a busy week, a real budget and a critical eye.
How Memory Reduct started
I began Memory Reduct the year I kept buying the wrong version of “easy.” I’d see a tip online, try it once, then scrap it when it fell apart or took longer than it said it would. Worse, I couldn’t find the original post when I wanted to try again.
So I started writing my own notes: what I used, what I changed, and what I’d do differently next time. Memory Reduct grew from those scribbles into a place where I track the kind of DIY that fits real schedules and real budgets.
What you'll find here
On Memory Reduct you’ll find DIY ideas I’ve tried myself, usually in small batches, with practical steps and honest notes on what’s likely to go wrong. I test materials at home, compare a couple of common approaches, and write the version that saves time and money. I’m careful about recommending supplies because I’ve wasted money learning the hard way. If I say it’s doable, I’ve done it. If it’s fussy, I’ll tell you.
Why you can trust Memory Reduct
I keep Memory Reduct deliberately small: one person — Sophie Wren — choosing every idea, writing every guide, and rechecking old posts as things change. What you read here is what I would tell a friend.
